Study medicine in Italy

Italy offers six-year English-taught medicine at public and private universities. Public selection, a university’s preliminary checks, Universitaly pre-enrolment and the visa are separate steps. Plan Italian for patient care from the beginning, and examine the clinical and internship structure before choosing a return-to-India route.

Study medicine in Germany

Germany’s main medical route is a German-taught state-examination course with demanding school-equivalence and language requirements. Public tuition can be low, but entry is highly competitive. A private English-taught campus with a foreign awarding university is a different route and needs separate licensing and India-return review.

Updated

Study medicine in United Kingdom

The UK offers English-language undergraduate medicine, commonly over five or six years, followed by supervised Foundation training. For 2027 entry the main UCAS medicine deadline is 15 October 2026, while the 2026 UCAT testing window has already closed. Tuition can rise sharply between preclinical and clinical years.

Updated

Study medicine in Ireland

Ireland offers English-language school-leaver medicine, usually over five or six years, and separate four-year graduate-entry routes. RCSI has published specific 2027 entry and Casper requirements for privately funded non-EU school leavers. Plan the cost of the whole course and the later internship: admission does not guarantee an intern post.

Updated

Study medicine in Poland

Compare six-year English medical degrees in Warsaw, Łódź and Poznań, with university-specific entrance tests, documented fees and a separate postgraduate licensing plan.

Updated

Study medicine in Czechia

Six-year English General Medicine is available at several Czech medical faculties. Compare the faculty—not only the university name—because tests, prices and application dates differ.

Updated

Study medicine in Hungary

Compare English medicine at Semmelweis, Debrecen, Pécs and Szeged using their own entrance tests and fee schedules. Plan Hungarian patient communication and the registration route alongside the degree.

Updated

Study medicine in Slovakia

Compare English General Medicine in Bratislava, Martin and Košice. The universities have different science-test formats, while school recognition, Slovak patient communication and professional registration need separate planning.

Updated

Study medicine in Romania

English Medicine in Romania has university-specific selection, Ministry of Education acceptance and important deposit terms. For Indian applicants, the future right to register locally needs particular attention before paying.

Updated

Study medicine in Bulgaria

Six-year English medical programmes at public universities combine classroom study with compulsory Bulgarian and state clinical training. Compare the actual internship calendar as carefully as the entrance exam and tuition.

Updated

Study medicine in Latvia

Latvia offers six-year English Medicine at RSU and the University of Latvia. Their selection methods differ: a school-record route is not the same as LU’s SAT requirement, and Latvian remains important for clinical practice.

Updated

Study medicine in Lithuania

LSMU and Vilnius offer six-year English Medicine with Lithuanian clinical-language requirements. Entrance tests, recognition, residence permission and professional licensing are separate stages.

Updated

Study medicine in Malaysia

Malaysia has English medical programmes with substantial clinical training, but an ordinary international student must resolve access to housemanship before treating the degree as a route to medical registration.

Updated

Study medicine in Georgia

Georgia’s English MD is an undergraduate-entry medical qualification. For an India-return applicant, the central decision is the path from degree and supervised clinical work to the professional status required for registration.

Updated

Study medicine in Russia

Russia offers six-year English General Medicine programmes, but Russian is required for clinical communication and primary medical accreditation. Exact campus, internship and professional-status evidence are essential for India-return planning.

Updated

Study medicine in United States

The usual US physician route is a bachelor’s degree with the required premedical coursework, followed by four years of medical school and postgraduate residency. It is not a standard direct-after-Class-XII MBBS route. International eligibility and access to funding vary substantially between medical schools.
