A tuition waiver reduces a bill. A stipend pays towards living costs. A housing benefit is a separate allocation. Compare what each award actually provides before relying on it.
Regional support combines financial circumstances with enrolment and academic conditions. Merit awards and government programmes run separate competitions.

Fee waiver + €8,000 gross per year in the programme overview. Qualifying applications to eligible English-taught programmes receive consideration under the award rules.
The overview points to calls in November 2026. This is not an announced new-intake deadline or a guaranteed award.
MAECI uses eligible-country and course-category rules. Invest Your Talent supports participating postgraduate programmes with an internship component; citizenship and residence both matter.

MAECI and Invest Your Talent are separate competitions
The MAECI 2026/27 government scholarship deadline was 26 March 2026 at 14:00 Italian time. Use Study in Italy to check the next call’s eligible citizenships, course categories and conditions; it is not a blanket grant for every bachelor’s applicant.
Invest Your Talent in Italy’s 2026/27 call closed on 11 May 2026 at 18:00. It concerns participating courses and an internship component, rather than every English-taught degree. Its country conditions include citizenship and residence, so an Indian citizen living abroad must check both. India appears in the programme’s eligible-country framework.
Historical dates are not 2027/28 deadlines. Read the call’s amendment and applicant-category rules.
Detailed call research checked 2026-09-22; Padua overview rechecked 26 September 2026.

DAAD DATABASE
Match citizenship, study level and subject
DAAD lists funding programmes with their own eligibility and application routes. A master's or research scholarship is not automatically available to a school-leaver starting a bachelor's.
Use your current academic stage and country of origin to narrow the list, then compare the award's duration, benefits and deadline.
Many public programmes have no general tuition, but a semester contribution and daily expenses remain. DAAD’s living-cost guide is €900–€1,200 a month; a fee waiver alone will not meet that budget.
University and foundation awards have their own selection rules. Budget without an award until you receive a confirmed funding decision.
Academic file: transcripts, grading scale, qualification and any award-specific CV or motivation statement.
Regional Italy financial file: household composition, income and assets for the years specified by that agency, with the required translation and authentication.
Cash-flow plan: arrival deposit, first months of living costs and fees due before the first award instalment.
After the award: enrolment, credits, benefit-combination and repayment conditions remain part of the award.
Third-party charges are separate from our service fee. These can include university application fees, tuition, examinations, government or visa charges, translation, verification, apostille and courier costs.
Your case, course and destination may require additional assistance. Please discuss this with your counsellor; we confirm any extra work and service fees in writing before it starts.
