Plan your study budget

Choose a country example or enter your own costs. Adjust the figures, review the total and download your budget.

Your work: stays in this tab. Download the cost breakdown before leaving.

Try a country example.

Use it to learn how the budget works, then replace every assumption with your own research.

2. Adjust your figures

Enter tuition and monthly living costs before reviewing a total. Enter 0 only when you have confirmed no cost. Other blank amounts count as zero; add every applicable cost.

Changing destination updates guidance, not your amounts. Changing currency does not convert amounts. Include a tuition deposit within tuition, not twice. Funding means money already confirmed.

A visa minimum is a separate check.

For the national type-D study visa for university enrolment, the current MUR procedures specify €10,179.85 per year for subsistence. The authority also considers the reliability and traceability of funds and the overall support available. An unawarded scholarship application does not establish funding.

Check your nationality, residence and consulate’s visa route ↗

Checked 20 September 2026. This is not a visa decision or a complete document list. Requirements depend on your route; reconfirm the amount and evidence for your appointment and intake. Do not add these funds again as a fee if they will pay the living costs already budgeted.

Compare your options.

Keep up to three budgets while you explore. Compare the same currency and period for a like-for-like view; amounts are never converted.

Adjust your figures, then choose “Keep for comparison” beside your estimate.
