SAT format & timing

What the test involves

Two sections each contain two modules. The second module adapts to performance in the first.

Testing time is 2 hours 14 minutes, with a 10-minute break between the two sections.

Scores and what happens next

• A short fixed quiz cannot model an adaptive SAT score.
• A university’s test policy can change by intake; a score never replaces its other entry requirements.
