CEnT-S format & timing

Meet an entrance-test requirement for participating English-taught science-related programmes.

What the test involves

Five separately timed sections contain 55 questions.

This reference is limited to the cycle or details stated below. Do not assume an unannounced year follows the same rules.

Scores and what happens next

  • Raw marking: +1 correct, −0.25 incorrect, 0 blank. Official final results apply a difficulty adjustment at the end of the macro-period; a practice raw score is not an official normalised score.
  • Universities set their own weighting, accepted test dates, thresholds and application deadline. A test seat is not a university offer.
  • For example, Milan’s 2026/27 Economics: Behavior, Data and Policy call accepted tests only through 30 June and closed applications on 6 July. An October sitting cannot satisfy that already-closed call.
