Compare the admissions tests
Choose preparation materials for the exact university. A preparation course, NEET score or another university’s test does not automatically replace the examination below.
Compare the admissions tests| University | Published selection route | Useful preparation |
|---|
| Medical University of Warsaw | 2026/27: Biology and Chemistry plus Physics or Mathematics; school points and a competency-test criterion contribute to ranking. | Review the faculty’s accepted subjects, test exemptions and English certificate list. |
| Medical University of Łódź | Two school subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, followed by its online entrance examination. | Prepare to explain scientific reasoning, not only recall facts. |
| Poznan University of Medical Sciences | 60 science questions in 60 minutes, followed by a 20–40 minute interview. | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, motivation and spoken scientific English. |

Tuition: keep the year and currency visible
The figures are university charges, excluding living costs and postgraduate internship. PUMS’s published six-year tuition total for its 2026 cohort is PLN 485,000. Currency conversion is deliberately not fixed.
Tuition: keep the year and currency visible| University / cohort | Tuition | Application or payment detail |
|---|
| Warsaw, 2026/27 entry | €18,800 per year | Two instalments total €19,200; four total €19,600. Instalments cost more than the single annual payment. |
| Łódź, October 2026 entry | €15,100 in year 1; €14,900/year in years 2–6 | €24 non-refundable application fee before the online examination. |
| PUMS, 2026 entry | PLN 71,000/year in years 1–2; PLN 85,750/year in years 3–6 | PLN 4,800 down payment is included in tuition, not an additional annual charge. |

Plan twelve months of living costs
The PUMS housing table effective July 2026 includes ordinary room options of approximately PLN 820–1,500 per month, with some rates excluding utilities and higher single-occupancy options. A PLN 2,000 dormitory deposit is listed. These are Poznań housing examples, not a Poland-wide monthly budget.
Add meals, transport, insurance, books, flights, visa/residence fees and an emergency reserve. Compare the invoice’s PLN or EUR currency with your bank’s exchange and transfer costs.

NAWA and school-document preparation
NAWA’s SYRENA service issues an individual secondary-certificate recognition statement without a fee. Some qualifications are automatically recognised, including defined treaty and EU/OECD/EFTA cases and IB/EB diplomas. Other certificates require the individual route.
The application uses the final school certificate, marks, earlier education records, identification and translations where required. Studying an Indian curriculum in Oman does not turn the award into an Omani qualification. Keep recognition, apostille/legalisation and translation as separate tasks.

Applying from India: money evidence matters
The Polish study-visa checklist updated 14 May 2026 separates tuition from subsistence, accommodation and return travel. It uses PLN 1,010 per month for living expenses, actual accommodation costs and PLN 2,500 for return travel in the relevant applicant route.
Use the checklist’s accepted financial-document categories; do not assume that any savings statement satisfies them. Prepare admission, tuition payment, school recognition and language evidence together. The amount used for immigration is a documentary threshold, not a comfortable six-year budget.

Applying from Oman: follow the Riyadh mission route
Poland’s Riyadh mission publishes the national D-visa route covering its consular district, including Oman. It requires personal submission and an e-Konsulat appointment. Keep proof of lawful residence with your passport.
For studies, the page lists admission, tuition payment, sufficient funds, school qualifications, applicable NAWA evidence and at least B2 language certification. Use the study section: the separate work-visa draw instructions are not a student booking guide. Confirm the physical submission arrangements before arranging travel.

The internship is a separate decision
The Polish Health Ministry describes the standard postgraduate medical internship separately from the degree. PUMS also advertises a paid English medical internship lasting seven months; the participant fee depends on the group. Its displayed April 2026 application deadline is historical.
The shorter English route and the standard Polish route must not be treated as interchangeable for every destination. Before paying, obtain the duration, location, supervision, completion certificate and regulator recognition in writing.

Registration in Poland and a possible return to India
PUMS identifies postgraduate training, LEK and Polish-language requirements on the route to practising in Poland. EU recognition also depends on the completed professional qualification and the destination regulator; a medical diploma alone is not universal permission to practise.
For the NMC route, document the required foreign internship and local registration separately. A seven-month option leaves a material gap against the twelve-month requirement; do not assume an additional placement anywhere will repair it.
