What the test involves

The current core includes English, math and reading. Optional sections add time.

Core section time totals 125 minutes, excluding breaks and administration. Add optional sections when chosen.

Scores and what happens next

• The current Composite uses English, math and reading; optional science also produces a science result and STEM score.
• ACT is an admissions test, not automatically an English-language certificate.
