RWU explicitly labels the full degree English taught. Its module handbook nevertheless requires a 5-ECTS German B2 module for non-German-speaking students. The selectable High Voltage Vehicles module is delivered only in German and requires good German, despite its generic language field saying English.

German preparation courses support the compulsory B2 module during the degree; this is not a claim that B2 German is required for initial admission. High Voltage Vehicles is a compulsory-elective specialisation choice, not a universal core module.

Academic and language preparation

Recognised higher education entrance qualification; strong mathematics and science background. Programme English examples are TOEFL iBT 70 or IELTS 6.0; medium-of-instruction letters are not accepted. Qualification recognition and any alternative university examination route require individual assessment; APS applies where required.

The dated summer 2027 call requires online application through RWU MyCampus and postal receipt of all documents by 31 October 2026, for applicants of every nationality. The window runs 1 September–31 October 2026 and is open as checked on 2 October.

Tuition and funding context

Non-EU/EEA tuition is normally EUR 1,500 per semester, plus EUR 215 semester fees and a one-time EUR 9 student card. Exemptions apply. These are current published amounts checked October 2026; no separate 2027 fee schedule was verified.
