Academic and language preparation

Relevant CE, computing, applied mathematics or engineering bachelor's; strong computing and mathematics, including two years of university engineering mathematics.

Application route and preparation

Apply through the programme's Master application procedure; select a technical application field. Applicants without FAU's CE bachelor's normally start in winter.

Tuition and funding context

From summer semester 2027, newly enrolling non-EU students and students changing subjects generally pay €4,000 tuition per semester for this programme, plus the semester contribution. EU/EEA and other statutory exemptions apply; students enrolled before summer 2027 are generally protected unless changing subjects.

Application / processing charges

From winter 2026/27, €100 non-refundable processing fee per application for chargeable non-EU applicants; exemptions apply.
